Formal borders and deep planting beds give way to wildflowers and spaces for quiet contemplation
Previously a steep, overgrown slope.
The aim: to connect the main house, annex and pool more harmoniously to the surrounding landscape. Introduce a generous greenhouse, a pool pavilion and a sunny terrace, while creating abundant beds for planting vegetables and cutting flowers, plus relaxed paths and seating areas to enjoy the garden.
Areas of more formal planting close to the main house and annex provide distinct spaces for separate entertaining or relaxed gatherings around the swimming pool. Meandering paths lead away to the vegetable and cutting garden and on to an extensive wildflower meadow, where gently mown routes and tucked-away places to pause and rest invite slow exploration.
